Switch Dance was launched in July 2008 as a private dance class for children aged 5 to 11 by Jools. The aim was to combine the enthusiasm that the children had at the height of the High School Musical craze with everyday music that was relevant to them to create a fun, non pressured social environment where they could learn dance routines that were achievable.
Switch is not about delivering a polished, perfect performance... it is about learning to hear the music, to feel the beat and to find the confidence to throw yourself into a dance routine no matter what your experience or ability.
An important part of the class is encouraging the children to work as a team, have respect for their peers and to be given the chance to shine!

The repsonse for class places has been overwhelming and the demand for classes has now led to the additon of a teenage and adult class...with 120 people dancing Switch style a week

When I asked the children what they wanted to do in class they said "dance like they do on the T.V" And thats exactly what we do!
You can call it MTV dancing, you can call it backing dancing, you can call it street dance...but we call it SWITCH!
